Follow Me- Avoiding the Halfway Life

This powerful message challenges us to examine whether we've stopped halfway on the journey God has called us to. Drawing from the story of Terah and his son Abram in Genesis 11-12, we're confronted with a sobering reality: many of us begin with vision and purpose, but somewhere along the way—whether through grief, comfort, or the weight of daily responsibilities—we settle in a place God never intended as our final destination. Terah traveled 700 miles from Ur toward the Promised Land but stopped in Haran, a city that bore his deceased son's name, unable to let go of his past and his idols. His son Abraham, however, at age 75, had the courage to continue the journey. The message asks us a penetrating question: What spiritual battle are we losing that's keeping us stuck? Whether we're grinding through survival, comfortable in our achievements, or numbing ourselves with distractions, that quiet voice asks, 'Is this all life was meant to be?' The answer comes through three challenges: connect with our God-given vision by getting away from the noise to hear God's voice, avoid stopping halfway by releasing the idols that keep us tethered to comfort, and keep walking with God on the adventure He's designed for us. Following Jesus isn't about predictability and safety—it's about hearing those two simple words, 'Follow me,' and having the courage to pack up our tents and walk into the unknown with Him.
